Nice little place with cooperative staff. Absolutely perfect and magnificent location in a very nice neighborhood, easy to get around.

The rooms were compact and reasonably spacious with super clean shared bathrooms. Location: the hotel was short walk to sights, public transport and eateries as well as the center of Nara.

I had the dormitory room which was quiet and compact.

A cozy old house with lots of history, perfect for those who like to live in the past. The storage space was a bonus, now I can bring even more unnecessary luggage next time. And for the low price of JPY 500 per day, I had the privilege of parking my car right next to the house.

Vegetarian meals upon request? No thanks, I'd rather stick to my juicy steaks.

I had a wonderful stay at Guesthouse Tamura for two nights. The hosts were accommodating and friendly, making me feel welcome even though I was the only non-Japanese guest. They serve a delicious and generous traditional Japanese breakfast for a great price. The location is perfect, right next to the deer park and close to all the attractions. The guesthouse has a peaceful garden and provides bikes for exploring the charming streets of Naramachi. a fantastic place to experience Japanese lifestyle.

All of the staff members were accommodating and excellent co-operating. The location was amazing, a 10-15 minute walk from a moss garden. Easy access to a railroad station, it was very close to the hotel.

The curfew of 11pm may restrict guests from enjoying a late night out.
